Today was an exciting day! Leaving before 7 AM, B. & I traveled to Jackson to the S.B. Convention bdlng. for my meeting with Mrs. RW, Mrs. JW, Mrs. JM, and Mr. KR. Toward the end of the summer, I will be taking a journey to a country in the P. Rim to help with a women's retreat. I am so excited! It was the first time that I had met any of the ladies. They all were extremely nice. I know that God didn't have our paths cross accidentally; He has great plans to use each of us to help further His kingdom and to do a work in us while we are there. At the end of our session, Mrs. JM's precious son led us in a word of special prayer. Please be praying for this special journey (God's protection over us and our families, the opening/tendering of hearts of the ladies and children we will be administering to). Also, if you would like to contribute, we are gathering monetary donations to buy goods when we get there for the people/kids, and collecting sample or dollar store items of the following: deodorants (ladies'), bar soap, toothpaste and toothbrushes, bandaids, lipsticks, lotions, ziplock bags, and shampoos.
Even closer to date, we will be taking off next Friday for our M trip to Brazil. We will be in a suburb outside of Sao Paulo. Our team is much smaller than last year. We will be leading two VBS's a day, visiting schools, and doing door-to-door evangelism. The plan is to be able to have a two-three year relationship with this community. Please be praying for the team's safe journey and health for us and our families that we are leaving behind; pray for the people to open their hearts and minds to what God has planned for them to hear through us.
