First of all, I must apollogize for my lack of blogging. Going back to work has created a dilemna...lack of time and exhaustion has set in!! I will say that B. tried to fill in for me Tuesday night, but his post ended up two times on the site. He went in to delete the duplication, and both entries were deleted! Therefore, he gave up.
Ok. Let's catch up! B. has enrolled in seminary. He is taking two online courses from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary . I think this is fabulous!
I have two absolutely WONDERFUL classes this year. I am loving it. This does not mean that they are perfect by any means, nor am I perfect (for the record), but it does mean that I am enjoying my year thus far. I teach fifth grade Reading and Language Arts. This year, we are only rotating twice, which is much better than three times. Of course, everything is fast paced. The other fifth grade teaching partner and I are steady creating tests, grading papers/projects, and writing lesson plans for our subject area.
Sk. started back to his regular piano classes yesterday, before church. He has already chosen his sonata for an upcoming event in February. His soccer games will begin Sept. 6. All of these activites definitely add onto our list!
We took Sy. to join her M. friends yesterday before we headed to piano. She went shopping for items for Operation Christmas Child from our local dollar store. Afterward, her teacher took the class to McDonald's. This was her first time away from us without a family member present. Our little girl is growing up!
Tonight, we listened to a pastor from Louisiana whose church has adopted a people group in West Africa. It was very interesting, to say the least! Our local association has also adopted a people group from there. Be in much prayer for this exciting journey to come and for the people who are awaiting tto hear the Gospel.
Well....I better head to bed. I am exhausted. Have a blessed weekend!
