F called last night

Hello all. F called the house last night and talked for a few minutes. The kids were really excited to hear from her. We have all missed her alot. She said they will begin traveling on her Thursday morning. They will arrive back in Mississippi on Friday morning. They had visited a school were they taught english, and just spent time fellowshipping with M s and other believers. They even got a spa treatment.  Now thats suffering for Jesus. They had Pizza Hut pizza for supper.  More to come, I have to go.

F called kids this morning!!

It was a typical Sunday morning. Dashing around getting kids ready for church. F is missing from equation, due to a journey.  At 8:50 am the phone rang... it was F. The kids were so excited. They both talked for a few minutes to her, then it was my turn. She said there was about 78  83 women and 30 children at the retreat (not counting the team) and it was an amazing experience. Lots of tears shed during the weekend. The opportunity to witness to these ladies is both an honor and privilege, that was mandated by God.She said that some of the ladies are used to bathing Bathsheba style from a bucket, and were amazed at the showers in the bathhouses. Then I realized i still wasn't dressed!!!  Good thing she laid out my Sunday clothes for me. Today Dr.T preached on servant ship. It is an honor to serve God in foreign nations and home. We strive for the high calling, the hard part is listening. Listen to God, serve faithfully, and above all listen to what God is telling you.

I heard from F !!!!

Praise God, I heard from F !!!!!  She called about 7:45 PM, they were getting ready for breakfast. HA!!  They will be leaving for the retreat in a few hours. She said they can't go out for walks or get out. They are having to stay inside in the guest house or over at the M's house. Says it is very different from what we use too. They ask that everyone please pray for them on their travels, and opportunities they will have. Also, pray for the ladies and children coming to their retreat this weekend.  Pray that a movement of God will encompass these ladies and their families.

Let the work begin.....

I was a slight bit anxious to know how F's trip was going, and to insure she made it there OK. Sy, Sk, and I looked last night on the net to see if the planes landed safely; of course they had...would God work any other way.  I did hear from F this evening around 6 PM Wednesday our time (6AM Thursday her time). She said flights were good with little hassle. She said they arrived about 7 PM Wednesday (her time) and were exhausted. I'm confused; my time/ her time is hard to keep up with. Work starts now. Missions under the banner of this journey begins at the departure airport and ends back at the same airport on the return. Technically, missions is an ongoing endeavor among us all to fulfill God's great commission. I'll do some missions now... God loves you and He sent His SON to die for you on the cross. Do you love God enough to follow Him? You should. We are saved by grace through faith in Him. Watch over us Lord as we "Go! and make disciples of ALL nations". Thank you God for all you do for us, and watch over F and her friends on this journey.

Getting there IS half the fun....

We had to be in Jackson at the airport at 2 PM today.  We were late by 20 minutes due to traffic and the fact we had to walk 1/4 mile from the parking lot to the terminal. It's all good though. The kids talked to F about 8 (ish). They were having delays already. Late &/or delayed flights. Fun, fun. As with any business trip, the one true BOSS promises, it will  be ...A JOURNEY......

Going on a Journey

I leave tomorrow at 4 PM on my next journey. This journey will be unlike any that God has taken me on before because I will be traveling without B.!! I will be traveling to the Pacific Rim. The time difference is 12 hours ahead of our time, which I expect will be an adjustment to the body.  I will not return until August 1.

I have given specific directions for B. on how to blog so he can update you on my well-being. I thank you in advance for the many prayers that you will be lifting up for my traveling team and me, our business there, and our families that we will be leaving behind. Please pray specifically for our health and safety, for open hearts and the devil to be bound in all possible ways, and for us to be favored by God.  Pray for my babies' and my comfort and peace on my being away for such a period. My Sk. just cried on me because he said he is going to miss me. I was not expecting this from him at all!  This makes me swallow hard and shed a few tears myself before I even head off!!

I know there is a reason for God to send me such a distance. Nothing happens without a reason. I know He will do a work in me and in others while I am there. He has already given me His promise of Joshua 1:9.

To Pack or Not to Pack?

Packing has driven me absolutely NUTS today. As I gather items to pack, little hands are constantly digging and helping me. I can't think! Is it the stress of getting everything together, lack of sleep, or the thought of leaving my family for 11 days that has gotten me moody?! Maybe it's a combination of all of the above and then some...

Lord, give me peace.....YOU ARE CONTINUOUSLY MAKING PROVISIONS FOR US......

More Donations

Wow--more blessings from God! I picked up more items from a friend who collected for my journey. In addition, B. made stopped by the church and gathered a vast array of jewelry donated for me to dig through and take whatever I wish with me. Now, I need to get packed!!!

The days are whirling by. I need to stop time and get finished up so I will be ready to go.  I am afraid that it doesn't work that way, though. My classroom is decorated. I still need to clean out the cabinets for upcoming supplies, but that will have to wait. Since I am such a visual person, I need to make notes of what I plan to do for our children's learning activities in the Pac. Rim, and I also need to work on some papers that are coming due very soon after I return!!! 

I think that I am going to crash in a few minutes, which will be fantastic. I have been going to bed way too late this week and getting up very early. A little shut-eye will probably do the body good, so I will be refreshed and ready to go WIDE-OPEN tomorrow.

Wow!!!  Thanks to all of you who are praying for my upcoming journey.  I have 5 more days until I leave! Tonight, I picked up a vast amount of donated items from church folk to take with me. I still have several sending items. B. is vacuum-sealing all the liquid items. I appreciate everything.....prayers, items, monetary donations specified for me to use for the people, and monetary donations specified for me to put toward my trip's cost. May God bless you!

Bro. Phillip Price gave a wonderful sermon tonight about knowing and understanding God. Now, it's time for me to collapse. It's been an extremely busy week.

So Tired.....

Today, I finally went to bed at 1 AM, and then, I got back up at 6 AM. B. took off work and helped me set up the furniture in my classroom, while the kids stayed at Granny's house. We headed to Mobile for lunch. This was in lieu of our 16th anniversary. We ate at one of my favorite places--TGIFridays. I absolutely love their vanilla bean cheesecake.  Afterward, we picked up things for my upcoming journey. One week from today......I'll be on a plane to the Pac. Rim!!!  When we returned home, B. went to our association's executive committee meeting. I stayed home with the kids. Sk. is still under the weather with his cold, and Sy. hadn't taken a nap today. It's a good thing I opted to stay home, because Sy. fell asleep at 8 PM. As I type, B. is cutting out posters that I laminated today for decorating my classroom. I hope that I get everything finished before it's time to leave!!!!
